The Crossing Foundation
The Crossing of Manitowoc County is a nonprofit, Christian-based organization with a mission to provide emotional, educational, material, and spiritual support to clients, empowering them to become strong and resilient families. We believe every person is valued and deserving. We provide free services that will strengthen families from all walks of life. We focus on the well-being of children through educating parents. We enable parents to better provide for, nurture and give value to their families.
Our programs are designed to serve both women and men facing pregnancy in the variety of situations presented in our community: teens and twenty-somethings, men and women, married and unmarried, first baby or fifth baby.
- Parenting education through our Earn While You Learn Program and peer advocate guidance and support. Parents earn points to redeem in our fully stocked boutique and basic need supply pantry.
- Free and confidential ultrasound exams, pregnancy and STI testing. Prenatal support specific to each individual’s needs including birth planning, limited lactation support and postpartum depression screening supported with appropriate referrals.
- A transition program for young women, pregnant or with small children, seeking support and guidance to turn their lives around.
