The SEAS Foundation, LTD serves as a designated endowment fund for the Sailing Educational Association of Sheboygan, Inc. (“SEAS”). Its purpose is to help ensure the long-term viability of the SEAS organization.

SEAS, founded in 2012, is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to creating affordable pathways for the community to safely enjoy boating on Lake Michigan. SEAS has worked hard to develop an international reach into the boating community, which affords the organization to bring quality programs, boats, people and knowledge to the Sheboygan Lakefront. SEAS provides educational programming and access to boats while removing barriers to participation created by financial, physical, and cognitive needs. SEAS mission is “Boating for Everyone” because it seeks to be inclusive of all people regardless of the afore-referenced barriers.

Education is the foundation of the SEAS organization. SEAS classes teach safe handling of power and sail boats utilizing US Sailing’s national standards. In the chilly winter months SEAS presents on topics such as local maritime history, water safety, the marine industry, marine preservation and teach traditional maritime skills. SEAS partners with other lakefront organizations to build a community passionate about Lake Michigan.

SEAS strives to maximize the impact of its donors’ dollars through expanding awareness, training and opportunities in marine and conservation activities through education and outreach. SEAS provides financial assistance to its non-profit partners in order to continue the advancement of boating facilities and activities on the areas greatest asset, Lake Michigan.
