NOUN

A library is a collection of sources of information and similar resources, made accessible to a defined community for reference or borrowing. The first Manitowoc Public Library opened its doors on March 13, 1900. More than 100 years later, it remains an invaluable collection of sources of information and similar resources to our community.

The Manitowoc Public Library Foundation Endowment provides a source of funds that enhance and sustain the comprehensive collection of materials and books for adults, teens and children at the Manitowoc Public Library. The endowment strengthens projects and programming for all ages that inspire life-long learning. Additionally, it enhances and refreshes the facilities and provides staff development. The Manitowoc Public Library Foundation Endowment is a tangible legacy that supports the Manitowoc Public Library today, tomorrow and for generations-to-come.
