Manitowoc County Crime Stoppers Preservation Fund

The Manitowoc County Crime Stoppers Preservation Fund was established in late 2015 with an initial grant from the West Foundation. The purpose of the fund is to provide annual operating support to assure the continued crime fighting efforts of the organization. Funds donated are held in perpetuity to make certain the mission of Manitowoc County Crime Stoppers continues for generations.

Manitowoc County Crime Stoppers was organized as a citizen/police cooperative program designed to help fight crime in Manitowoc County. It was formed in June of 1983 and incorporated as Manitowoc County Crime Stoppers, Inc. in January of 1993. The program offers cash rewards to persons who call with information leading to the solution of major crimes or the capture of wanted persons. Those persons who report crime-related information via the tip line remain anonymous. Manitowoc County law enforcement agencies act as a clearing house for the program’s information.
