The Adam Steel Family Scholarship Fund was created by a gift from the Joseph and Marion Steel Giedemann estate. This fund commemorates Marion’s family through grants awarded each year to Manitowoc County residents enrolled in nursing programs at Lakeshore Technical College.

Adam Steel and his wife Maud resided on Lincoln Boulevard in Manitowoc with their two daughters, Marjory and Marion. Mr. Steel was a marine superintendent at Manitowoc Shipbuilding; Mrs. Steel was a former grade school and high school teacher. The Steel family participated in many local and state civic organizations.

The Adam Steel Family Scholarship Fund, through the generosity of Joseph and Marion Steel Giedemann, will forever benefit nursing students in the community where Mr. and Mrs. Steel lived, worked, and raised their family.
