Wisconsin Maritime Museum Endowment

Founded in 1970, the Wisconsin Maritime Museum has grown into one of the largest maritime museums on the Great Lakes. In addition to commemorating the maritime heritage of the Manitowoc-Two Rivers area and the submarines built there during World War II, the Wisconsin Maritime Museum is a leader in preserving the maritime history of Wisconsin and the Great Lakes region.  A Smithsonian Affiliate, it is also accredited by the American Alliance of Museums.

The 60,000+ square-foot gallery is a place to explore, engage, and experience the rich maritime history of Wisconsin through exciting and interactive exhibits.  Serving more than 6,000 children and hundreds of schools, the Museum is also renowned for its education programs, ranging from maritime history to our maritime environment.  The Wisconsin Maritime Museum Endowment was established to help ensure that the Museum continues to be a unique place to learn about the sailors, shipbuilders, and submariners of this rich history and the stewardship that will save our maritime natural resources for all times.
